Bologna is where tradition meets precision – milling excellence at the heart of Italy’s pasta supply chain.
Established in 1946, our Bologna mill plays a vital role in Princes Group’s pasta production, with a daily output of 320 tonnes of milled durum wheat. Operating 24 hours a day, five days a week across one highly efficient production section, the site uses automated systems to produce up to 235 tonnes of semolina and whole wheat semolina daily. Its strategic location ensures fast, responsive provisioning of raw materials and smooth distribution to pasta manufacturers across Italy.
Compact yet powerful, the six-floor facility spans nearly 20,000 square metres and is run by a skilled team of three rotating crews. In addition to semolina and bread flour, the site ensures that by-products like wheat bran are not wasted but redirected for use in animal feed—maximising value and supporting a more sustainable supply chain. Bologna reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and operational excellence—delivering trusted ingredients with consistency and care.
